Seeing Is Believing

28 weeks/ 6 mths one week & 5 days old:

Today, baby Sarah performed a little trick for mummy to see. Whilst lying in her sarong playing with her pacifiers (aka refused to take her morning nap! And yes, she has got two, one in her mouth, and the other in her hands *SIGH* ) she used her right hand to take the pacifier from her left hand, and a little while later, passed the pacifier back to the other hand. This may sound easy peasy, but this is one of many motor skills a child has to develop. Being able to sit alone without becoming a humpty-dumpty, as well as being able to pass items around are usually performed by 90% of 7.5mth old babies. Mummy was so pleased to witness this amazing stunt, and quickly called to tell Daddy.. Yes yes, daddy has seen this trick before, but because mumny never encountered it, she did not really believe heh heh..

No no no, in case u jump into conclusions, Mummy n Daddy do not think Sarah is gifted, nor are they exerting any pressures to expediete Sarah's development. They do think its wonderful that Sarah is learning things quickly at her own pace.. and are thoroughly happy at watching her grow up :)
