TV dinner

Mummy finally had some time alone on sunday, thinking she could eat in peace after daddy came back from work to play with Sarah. But noooo... Sarah wanted to eat mummy's pasta. And then, greedy daddy came along and wanted to eat too... So much for time alone :)

Doodle Board

Sarah loves to scribble and doodle on this. But she doesn't know how to erase the drawings yet. She only knows that when she says "bye bye" to the drawing, mummy will move the eraser tool and make the drawing disappear :)

Village Girl

I'm going down by the river to wash the clothes with water and stones.. Cya!

Independance Day

Papa brought Sarah swimming today. Our dear girl decided that she's a big girl and doesn't need papa anymore. She didn't want the swimming float, and wanted to wade in the pool by herself. If she felt that papa was holding her arms, she'll "ngek" or brush his arms away! What was she thinking?! That she can swim...?!? ;D

Anyway Sarah has been quite the conversationist today. When father and daughter came out of the pool, mummy was ready with the towels.

Mummy: "Did you enjoy yourself dear?"
Sarah: "Good!"

Sometimes Sarah amazes us with her vocabulary. Did she really understand what mummy was saying, or was her spontaneous reply coincidental? Whatever it is, our little darling never ceases to make us smile with her speech and antics. (Papa's still trying to smile at the part when his li'l apple doesn't want him to hold her in the waters.. poor daddy. Don't worry, Sarah still loves you)

The Hungry Caterpillar

This very hungry caterpillar was an inspiration from the book by Eric Carle, which Sarah loves! The caterpillar is made from sponge (soft), felt (smooth), and gauze (rough), and has shiny glittery frilly for grass, as well as noisy bells for a bow-tie :D

Small Talk

At 16 months, our li'l princess sure is full of chatter!

Words Sarah can say very well: "book", "papa", "pa", "moon", "dog", "up", "down", "duck", "bird", "heart", "take", "go", "bye bye", "hiiii" , "apple", "ball", "take", "bike", "wet", "cold", "hot"

Words that need improvement: "maaaaamaaaaa" (mama), "maaa-mi" (mummy), "baa ton" (button), "pease" (please), "boh more" (no more), "bar" (bus), "cute" (thank you) , "hart" (heart)

Words that need deciphering "mooo" (cow), *snouting* or *grunting* sounds (pig), *wooo wooo* (dog. Occasionally she says "dog"), "Eeeee" (yucks), "yeow" (cat), "baaaa" (butterfly), "ba-ber" (bubble), "mmm" (moon) , "ber" (banana), "uh" (i need to poo!), "mum-mum-mum-mum" (food!!!!)

Ask Sarah where's anybody, and if she can't sight them, her response is "go werk" (go work)..

Ask Sarah "How are you today?", she'll reply "guud" (good)

Ask Sarah "Are you ok?", she'll reply "k" (ok)

Ask Sarah to say thank you, and she'll wave and nod her head.. hmmm

New teeth!

Mummy realised that Sarah has got 2 new teeth while brushing Sarah's other 8 teeth today. It's not the front teeth. It's actually 2 back molar teeth. How strange, but interesting. They've cut thru her gums already, so it means that her chompers are ready to munch thru more solid foods now!

=D..

My beansprout pillows

Can't tell that Sarah likes lanterns at all..

Magnetic Smile

Ultra cool wooden magnets mummy bought me! I love the trees, the cows, the penguins, the whale, the ducks, the rabbits, the fish, the horse, the pig, and many more! Mummy's officially bankrupt now ;D

Yakult!

Can someone confirm if its ok for Sarah to be bringing Yakult at her age..??

Mama!

Sarah officially knows how to call mummy 'mama'! Alas, at 1 year 3 mths and 4 days old! When Sarah is sad, terrified or upset, or when she can't find mummy around the house, she'll go 'mama.. mama.. mama' :)

P.S. She could call daddy 'papa' more than six months ago.. sigh
