Lunch Date with Jiu-Jiu

What a mess lunch was today!

Jiu jiu got more than he asked for by feeding Sarah porridge. For the record, it's his first time feeding a baby, so he does reckon that he did a goooood job.. Hmmmmz..

Notice that only half the porridge was going to Sarah's tum tum. The rest was around the mouth, dribbling down her chin and face, and even on her nose! There was also porridge on her fingers, on the bib, on her clothes, on the high chair, and on the floor!

Poor Aunty Yati got to clean up the mess after the feeding frenzy..

Obstacle Course

Grandma and Papa have been bullying me!! They placed my favourite chow-chow on the other side of their legs, forcing me to use all my baby strength to crawl over their gigantic thighs! *puff puff* How tiring..

*Arghhh* Let me go!! *pant pant*

Too tired to struggle after finally getting hold of my prized possessions..

Listen to grandma and papa's evil laughter here! *pout*

Lethal Food Combination

WARNING: Don't feed your child a combination of potato, bm, and pumpkin puree.

Uhhh..uhhh..

I'm being potty-trained lately, and when Grandma heard, she went and dug out this antique potty from the storeroom! This potty has much history; It was used by mummy and jiu-jiu when they were babies, and now, its moi's turn on it..

Now I've got two potties, a cutsie yellow one given to me by Aunty Yasmeen, and this traditional ceramic "heirloom".. uHHHhhhHHhh.. UuuHHhhhhh..

Seeing Is Believing

28 weeks/ 6 mths one week & 5 days old:

Today, baby Sarah performed a little trick for mummy to see. Whilst lying in her sarong playing with her pacifiers (aka refused to take her morning nap! And yes, she has got two, one in her mouth, and the other in her hands *SIGH* ) she used her right hand to take the pacifier from her left hand, and a little while later, passed the pacifier back to the other hand. This may sound easy peasy, but this is one of many motor skills a child has to develop. Being able to sit alone without becoming a humpty-dumpty, as well as being able to pass items around are usually performed by 90% of 7.5mth old babies. Mummy was so pleased to witness this amazing stunt, and quickly called to tell Daddy.. Yes yes, daddy has seen this trick before, but because mumny never encountered it, she did not really believe heh heh..

No no no, in case u jump into conclusions, Mummy n Daddy do not think Sarah is gifted, nor are they exerting any pressures to expediete Sarah's development. They do think its wonderful that Sarah is learning things quickly at her own pace.. and are thoroughly happy at watching her grow up :)

Messy Baby

OMG! Look who just had broccoli and avocado..

Strawberry Shortcake

Aunty Murray knows mummy loves Strawberry Shortcake, and she bought moi this cute darling umbrella! Isn't it so pretty! And it couldn't be given at a better timing! It rained after we left baby Joshua's first month birthday celebrations and I got to use it immediately! See, that's me on my Strawberry Shortcake mattress too after my warm bath.. So relaxed now..

Thank you Aunty Murray! *muacks*

chào Vietnam!

Grandpa & Grandma just returned from Vietnam, and they bought me this hand-made romper with images of cute little vietnamese farmers hand woven on! (Didn't know Vietnamese babies wore rompers??) Anyway, I wish I went too!

Wonderful Grandpa!

When i sat in my walker, I wanted to play with my playgym; When I wrestled with my playgym, I'd keep staring at my walker. And look what my maternal grandpa created for me! It's a walker-playgym, the newest model in town, one-and-only in the world, just for me! Now i have the best of both worlds! Thank you grandpa, i love you! *wet sloppy kiss*

My baby is ill!

Terrible news.. Our baby Sarah has finally succumbed to the effects of the injections. Her body has always been strong, and never fell ill from previous jabs. She was also unaffected having been in contact with family down with flu, cold, fever, sore eyes, diarrhoea etc etc. However on Monday night after the injections, we took a reading of 37.6c! Ring the alarms! My baby's got fever!!

Thankfully for the next two days she was relatively fine, in terms of temperament, except that she's looked a little tired and drowsy from the fever medication.. So its to slumberland for naps every 1.5hrs..

Our baby has now recovered and is now back to her normal cheery self again! She's playing, chewing, flipping, squealing and laughing.. Whew.. we're all glad that the worrisome episode is behind us now but what a scare it was for everyone!

11 November 2007

Ouch!

Today Sarah took her final 6-in-1 shot. To make it more painful, she also took her pneumococcal shot. One on the right buttock, another on the left buttock. Ouch! So painful.. poor thing.. Luckily the brave girl only cried for 2 seconds, distracted by Dr Lillian's toys.. Whew! Another 2 more shots in a few months time.. Hmm..

Anyway our dear girl is 67 cm tall (75% percentile), and 6.8 kg heavy (50% percentile). This means she's longer rather than rounder.. Up and coming super model??

6 months old today!

Today is a very exciting day. Sarah's six! 6 mths in fact..

It's a little milestone for first time parents n' grandparents & we just had to celebrate!

Sarah got new PJs, a new fuchsia pink Polo Ralph dress, new pacifiers (for 6 mths and above!), and new rompers. She's still a baby after all so could not eat the sumptious chocolate cake, but daddy n mummy did not leave Sarah out from the makan; Sarah joined in by getting her gums on Baby Bites! Even though it's her first time eating the teething biscuits, Sarah was extremely delighted to finally be able to eat along with everyone else..

We love you dear! Happy 6 mths again! =D

Sarah at play

It has been raining everyday for the longest time and I haven't been to the playgrond for many days. This morning, mummy and I spent a long time playing toys together. I chose a toy, tasted and drooled over it while mummy wiped and wiped. What fun!

Of course mummy had to pick up all the toys afterwards when I took a nap. *sayang mummy*
