As Tall As a Giraffe!

Infant Carseat

At times, Sarah will steal time in her ex-infant carseat. She loves to sit in there and rock herself while singing her nursery rhymes..

What kind of viral infection is tis?!

Since March 30, Sarah has been down with an intermittent fever and super persistent cough. It's so nerve-wrecking and she attended only 5 days of school since then. Since birth, Sarah merlions very easy and has strong reflux when she coughs/ crys. You can only imagine the number of times we've got to change and wash the sheets! The fever was extremely worrisome and with the recent surge in dengue cases & HFMD, we were kept on our toes ready to make a trip to hospital anytime. After several trips to the PD, and costing a bomb, Sarah is now recovered. I guess it can't be helped once kids join in a bigger social environment. I can just hope that the virus stays away from the kiddos. The outcome of this bout of illness is that Sarah has learnt to remind us of her medication timing ("I want eat med-cine"), and to take her temperature 10 times a day ("I want ther-more-meter"), and that she has recovered ("No feee-ver")

Maaarrrmmmiiiiii Addict

As mummy is on maternity leave, dear Sarah has been stuck like glue to her ever since. Everyday, Sarah will go "Mummy... Where are yyoooouuuuu???" around the house if she can't see mummy-dear (even if mummy was just standing behind Sarah!), or she'll go "I want see what Mummy doing" or "I want follow Mummy" (and she tail-gate mummy everywhere at home)..
Mummy will be going back to work soon darling.. Enjoy our time together while it lasts yah..

Magnificent Aquarium

Outing to Sentosa Underwater World:

Unplanned outing so we didn't have the camera with us :( Photos taken using daddys mobile

Sarah had such a great time at the Underwater World this evening. Her favourites were the Touchpool (after the Touchpool, she everything also "i want touch!"), the stingrays, the gigantic Spider Crabs, the travellator (we just went round & round till we were the last ones on it), the rough carpeting, and the enormous octopus.

Ben was mostly in the sling and woke up just before we left at closing time :)

Nonetheless, its an excellent place and we'll definitely go again since children under 3 get in free!

Our 2 Children

Extreme difference of these two tots:
1) Sarah's bloodgroup is AB+ whilst Ben's bloodgroup is O+ (though Daddy & mummy are a B and A+)
2) Sarah's NRIC no. ends with an T07XXXXXA whilst Ben's NRIC no. ends with a T09XXXXXZ
3) Sarah loves her pacifier to bits whilst Ben detests having it stuffed into his mouth
4) Sarah does not enjoy sucking her fingers whilst Ben finds great joy in stuffing his tiny fist in his mouth
5) As an infant, Sarah prefers to play by herself without being annoyed by the adults whilst Ben enjoys being carried
6) As an infant, Sarah is the nonchalent sort who is expressionless when the adults play with her whilst Ben coos, gurgles and smiles all the time
7) Tickle lil' Sarah and she'll just stare back. Tickle lil' Ben and he'll laugh and wriggle
8) Sarah has beautiful loooong eyelashes whilst you can barely see Bens'
9) Sarah has two nice dimples whilst Ben's dimples hardly appears
10) Sarah has double eyelids while Ben appears to be a single eye-lidded

I'm 2 yrs old!

Sarah turns 2 on her lunar birthday today. Ask Sarah how old she is, and she'll show u her "victory" sign and say "TWO!"

Lovely mee-sua lunch cooked lovingly by PorPor:

We got a DIY cake from the Icing Room, which was an excellent business concept as we could decorate and design the cake to our own tastes. Only problem is, first-time hands-on handling the cream and icing by amateurs does not result in a great piece of artwork. Nonetheless, here's a one-of-a-kind, priceless, and most beautiful cake in the world designed by Mummy:

Lovely cake co-designed by Sarah!

Child's Imagination

Top left: Sarah says she wrote her name "Sarah Wong"; "Many windmills"; "Purple flower"
Bottom right: "Umbrella" and "Rain"; "Slides"; "Orange worm"

Big Sister Sarah

Mummy had gone to the kitchen to warm up the milk for both kids, and when she returned to the hall, she came upon this heart-warming sight. Sarah was sitted next to Ben, and patting him lightly on the chest while singing "Twinkle twinkle little star" AND Ben was actually smiling back at Sarah. Thereafter, Sarah sang "Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes" action song, touching her little brother gently on each of the anatomy. These little terrors can be incredibly sweet at times! *sighs*

Daddy's Little Devil

Ben's New Hairdo; Botak!!

Easy Peasy

3 weeks short of her 2nd birthday, at 1 year 11 months 1 week old, Sarah wore her shoes all by herself correctly on both feet. Whenever she tried before, she would either mix the left and right sides up, or would've probably given up and asked for help when the shoes couldn't slip in. But today on hearing Daddy say that he'll bring her to the playground, she quickly went and put on the shoes easy-peasily. Maybe it's pure coincidence or luck, but it sure is a job well done little one! =D

NO!

This is a back-dated post on my lil' Sarah antics. Since she turned 23mths old, she has started the 'No!' phrase to everything, mostly in a cheeky playful manner (she loves the shocked expression I make everything she gives me this reply. I know i'd only encourage her further but.. oh well, will play by ear)

Mummy: "Sarah, do you want to eat dinner now?"
Sarah: "No"
Mummy: "Sarah, do you want to shower now?"
Sarah: "Noo"
Mummy: "Sarah, do you want to drink your milk now?"
Sarah: "Nooo"
Mummy: "Sarah, do you want to take your nap now?"
Sarah: "NO!"
Mummy: "Sarah, do you want to brush your teeth now?"
Sarah: "NooOOOoooo!"

And it just goes on and on.. The sure signs of the Terrible Twos..

New School

Sarah recently joined a new childcare centre. During the past week, mummy has been pre-empting Sarah of the change; that she'll no longer go to Talentplus playgroup, that she'll have new teachers, new friends, learn new songs and dance.

On her first day, Sarah took about 20 minutes to warm up to the new environment, but was brave enough not to cry when her other schoolmates cried. After the songs and dance, the children did craftwork and puppet play. Sarah was not bothered with Mummy, who was sitting at a corner. When the neglected mummy decided to leave, Sarah even said to mummy "Bye bye mummy, see you later"
